Salesforce Implementation

Most Salesforce implementations don’t fail because of the platform. They fail because of how they were set up. Whether you’re implementing for the first time or fixing a rollout that never delivered, we’ve done this more than 1,000 times, and we’ll tell you the truth about what yours needs.

Salesforce AI solutions

What does a Salesforce implementation partner do?

A Salesforce implementation partner designs, configures and deploys Salesforce so it matches how your business actually operates. That covers discovery and process design, platform configuration and build, data migration, integration with your existing systems, user training and post-go-live support. A good partner also tells you what not to build, because over-customisation is the most common reason implementations become expensive to live with.

8Squad is an Australian Salesforce partner delivering implementations fully onshore, from discovery workshops to go-live and beyond.

What we implement

Sales Cloud

Pipeline, forecasting and sales process built around how your team actually sells, not a textbook process nobody follows. The goal is a CRM your reps use because it helps them, not because they're told to.

Experience Cloud

Portals and communities for your customers and partners: self-service that actually reduces load on your team instead of creating a new channel to ignore.

Service Cloud

Case management, omni-channel support and knowledge that turns your service team from firefighters into a genuine customer experience advantage. We've migrated teams off Zendesk and legacy platforms without losing a ticket. And with Service Cloud Voice, we bring telephony into the same screen as the customer record, one of the things we're best known for.

Industry Clouds

Purpose-built solutions for regulated and specialised sectors: Public Sector Solutions for government, Financial Services Cloud, Health Cloud, and Consumer Goods Cloud including Trade Promotion Management. Industry clouds come with the compliance and data handling obligations of Australian regulated industries built in from day one, and with opinions about how your industry works.

And the rest of the platform

Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, CPQ and Revenue Cloud, Field Service, Nonprofit Cloud, Agentforce. Across 1,000+ projects we've implemented most of what Salesforce sells, and integrated it with plenty Salesforce doesn't. If you're weighing up a product you don't see named here, ask. The answer is usually "yes, and here's a client we did it for".

How we run an implementation

Traditional software delivery has too many phases, too many handoffs, and too many places for your requirements to get lost. Our delivery methodology cuts the cycle down to three phases you can actually follow.

1

Ide8
plan it properly

Planning, requirements and design in one consolidated phase. We map how your business actually works through real workshops with the people who’ll use the system, then define the scope, architecture and roadmap before anyone configures anything. Every design decision gets tested against one question: will people actually use this? A technically perfect build your team avoids is a failed implementation with good documentation.

2

Cre8
build it in the open

The core of the engagement: build, configuration and rigorous testing against the plans and quality bar set in Ide8. You see progress in regular show-and-tells throughout the build, so what launches is what you saw coming. No big reveal, no surprises. Data migration happens here too, done carefully: your data is usually messier than anyone admits, so we plan for that, clean what’s worth cleaning, and are upfront about what isn’t.

3

Oper8
land it and keep it running

Deployment and everything that makes it stick: UAT, integration testing, training, go-live and hypercare. Go-live is the start, not the finish. We hand over with your team capable, not dependent, and when you want ongoing support, the transition into our Centre of Excellence is a warm handoff to people who already know your org.

Fixing an implementation that didn't deliver

Around half the organisations that come to us already have Salesforce. It’s just not doing what they were promised. Common culprits we find:

  • Over-customisation that made every future change slow and expensive
  • Processes lifted from the old system instead of improved on the way in
  • Data migrated dirty, so nobody trusts the reports
  • No adoption plan, so the platform became a very expensive address book
  • An offshore build where requirements got lost between time zones

The fix rarely means starting over. Usually it means an honest assessment, some targeted rework, and a plan your team is part of. Sometimes it’s smaller than you fear. Occasionally it’s bigger. Either way, you’ll know within weeks, not months.

Expanding your Salesforce footprint

If your core CRM is delivering, expansion is where the compounding returns are. It’s also where money gets wasted fastest, because new clouds get bought on the strength of a keynote and land in an org that isn’t ready for them.

Before we implement anything new, we look at two things:

Is the foundation ready? Agentforce is only as good as the data and processes underneath it. Marketing Cloud without clean customer data is an expensive way to send emails people ignore. If your foundation needs work first, we’ll tell you, because an expansion built on a shaky org just gives you two problems instead of one.

What’s the right sequence? Most organisations can’t absorb three new clouds at once, and shouldn’t try. We’ll help you sequence the roadmap so each addition lands, gets adopted and proves its value before the next one starts.

What we help you add:

Marketing Cloud

connect marketing to the CRM so both teams finally see the same customer

Experience Cloud

customer and partner portals that genuinely reduce load on your team

Data Cloud

the unified data layer that everything else (especially AI) depends on

MuleSoft

integration that makes the whole stack work as one system

Sometimes the honest answer is “not yet”. You’ll get that answer from us before you’ve spent anything.

FAQ's

A focused single-cloud implementation typically runs 8 to 16 weeks. Multi-cloud or heavily integrated builds run longer. Beware of anyone quoting a timeline before they’ve seen your processes and data. We’ll give you a real estimate after discovery, and we’ll flag risk to the timeline the moment we see it, not the week before go-live.

It depends on scope, cloud mix, data complexity and integrations, which is why credible partners don’t publish a rate card. What we can promise: a fixed, transparent estimate after discovery, and no surprise variations for things we should have foreseen. If your budget and your ambitions don’t match, we’ll say so before you spend anything.

Usually, yes, and usually without starting from scratch. The first step is an assessment of your current org: what’s salvageable, what’s holding you back, and what it’ll take. Most failed implementations are setup problems, not platform problems.

No. Every person on your project is based in Australia. It costs more per hour and less per project, because you’re not paying for time zone delays, handoffs and rework.

Go-live sits inside our Oper8 phase, which also covers UAT, training and a hypercare period before a proper handover. If you want ongoing support, our Centre of Excellence provides proactive onshore managed services that flex with your demand, and the transition is a warm handoff to people who already know your org. Plenty of clients start with an implementation and stay for the CoE.

It depends on where your biggest gap is, and on whether your data and processes are ready for what you want to add. As a rule of thumb: if reporting and customer data are shaky, Data Cloud or a data cleanup comes before anything AI-related. If sales and marketing don’t share a view of the customer, Marketing Cloud is usually next. If your service team is drowning in repeat queries, Experience Cloud self-service pays back fast. We’ll give you a sequenced roadmap rather than a shopping list.

Maybe. Agentforce is only as good as the data and processes it runs on, so readiness is less about appetite and more about foundations. We’ll assess your org honestly, and if the answer is “not yet”, we’ll tell you what to fix first rather than sell you something that will underdeliver.

Realistically, the whole platform. The bulk of our work is Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud and the industry clouds (Public Sector Solutions, Financial Services Cloud, Health Cloud, Consumer Goods Cloud including Trade Promotion Management), plus Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, MuleSoft integration and Agentforce through our wider practice. Across 1,000+ projects we’ve implemented most of what Salesforce sells. If you’re looking at a product we haven’t named, ask; and if it genuinely sits outside our depth, we’ll say so rather than learn on your budget.
